Solid‐State Diffusion and Intermetallic Phase Formation in Roll‐Bonded Mg–Zn Composites With Kirigami‐Patterned Inlay

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

The Influence of Local Adhesion of Stress Release Boot on a Large Length-to-Diameter Ratio SRM Charge

The structural integrity and interface damage of a large length-to-diameter ratio SRM charge after experiencing the combined effects of cooling process during curing, low temperature test, and low temperature ignition process were calculated under normal design conditions and local adhesion of stress release boot in front of the charge.
