Multi-objective Discrete Combinatorial Optimization Algorithm Combining Problem-Decomposition and Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search [PDF]
In order to efficiently obtain solutions for large-scale multi-objective optimization problems in reality, to achieve a balance among convergence, diversity, and uniformity has gradually become one of the important goals in multi-objective optimization ...

Delivery options are at the heart of the generalized vehicle routing problem with time windows (GVRPTW) allowing that customer requests are shipped to alternative delivery locations which can also have different time windows.

A General Large Neighborhood Search Framework for Solving Integer Programs [PDF]
This paper studies how to design abstractions of large-scale combinatorial optimization problems that can leverage existing state-of-the-art solvers in general purpose ways, and that are amenable to data-driven design.

Generic Pareto local search metaheuristic for optimization of targeted offers in a bi-objective direct marketing campaign [PDF]
Cross-selling campaigns seek to offer the right products to the set of customers with the goal of maximizing expected profit, while, at the same time, respecting the purchasing constraints set by investors. In this context, a bi-objective version of this

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

SLIDER: Mining correlated motifs in protein-protein interaction networks [PDF]
—Correlated motif mining (CMM) is the problem to find overrepresented pairs of patterns, called motif pairs, in interacting protein sequences. Algorithmic solutions for CMM thereby provide a computational method for predicting binding sites for protein ...

Revisiting the Self-adaptive Large Neighborhood Search
This paper revisits the Self-Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search introduced by Laborie and Godard. We propose a variation in the weight-update mechanism especially useful when the LNS operators available in the portfolio exhibit unequal running times. We also propose some generic relaxations working for a large family of problems in a black-box fashion.
