Chebyshev solution of large linear systems
AbstractThe general problem considered is that of solving a linear system of equations which is singular or almost singular. A method is described which obtains a “solution” to the system which is stable with respect to small changes in the matrix elements.

Critical Threshold and Stability of Cluster Solutions for Large Reaction-Diffusion Systems in R
We study a large reaction-diffusion system which arises in the modeling of catalytic networks and describes the emerging of cluster states. We construct single cluster solutions on the real line and then establish their stability or instability in

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Asymptotic behaviour of positive large solutions of quasilinear logistic problems
We are interested in the asymptotic analysis of singular solutions with blow-up boundary for a class of quasilinear logistic equations with indefinite potential.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Validated Solution of Large Linear Systems [PDF]
Some new methods will be presented for computing verified inclusions of the solution of large linear systems. The matrix of the linear system is typically of band or sparse structure. There are no prerequisites to the matrix such as being M-matrix, symmetric, positive definite or diagonally dominant. (...) Examples with up to 1.000.000 unknowns will be

On the Stationary Cahn-Hilliard Equation: Bubble Solutions
We study stationary solutions of the Cahn--Hilliard equation in a bounded smooth domain which have an interior spherical interface (bubbles). We show that a large class of interior points (the ``nondegenerate peak'' points) have the following ...
