Portable laser scanning solutions for 3D modelling of large buildings [PDF]
Portable laser scanning systems (PLSSs) are a developing technology that is being used more frequently in various application domains. One notable characteristic of these systems is their capacity to gather 3D data while in motion.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Large solutions of semilinear elliptic equations with nonlinear gradient terms
We show that large positive solutions exist for the equation (P±):Δu±|∇u|q=p(x)uγ in Ω⫅RN(N≥3) for appropriate choices of γ>1,q>0 in which the domain Ω is either bounded or equal to RN.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Existence and stability of multiple spot solutions for the gray-scott model in R^2
We study the Gray-Scott model in a bounded two dimensional domain and establish the existence and stability of {\bf symmetric} and {\bf asymmetric} multiple spotty patterns. The Green's function and its derivatives together with two nonlocal eigenvalue

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
