Trophic cues as possible triggers of mussel larval settlement in southeastern Brazil
Oligotrophic conditions may impose a nutritional challenge for the larval and early post-larval development of bivalves during the search for a suitable benthic habitat. Here we investigated what settlement cues might be important for mytilid populations

Role of Non-Residential Larval Habitats in Aedes Spatiotemporal Egg Production
Aedes mosquitoes play a pivotal role as vectors of several arboviral diseases, presenting significant public health challenges worldwide. Their invasive success in tropical regions has raised substantial medical concerns. In Guatemala, Aedes mosquitoes are widely distributed and are the primary vectors of the dengue virus.

Development and silk production by silkworm larvae after topical application of methoprene
Juvenile hormone analogues have been tested as insect growth regulators in silkworm (Bombyx mori), seeking an increment of silk production. These chemical products, when applied in small or moderate rates, promote the extension of the last larval instar.

A Review of Spinosad as a Natural Product for Larval Mosquito Control
The effectiveness of spinosad for larval mosquito control is summarized based on available published literature and some heretofore unpublished studies. Spinosad is highly active against larvae of all mosquito species tested thus far. It is effective at similar dosages for all larval mosquito instars, with peak cumulative mortality occurring at 72 h ...

Using a novel zebrafish‐based inflammatory screening strategy, we screened and identified 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18β‐GA) as a promising anti‐inflammatory candidate. We uncover a microglial mTOR–autophagy–NLRP3 axis that constitutes the mechanistic core of 18β‐GA–mediated neuroprotection.

Impact of different Agents on the Efficacy of Codling Moth Granulovirus in Tank Mixtures [PDF]
In the control of codling moth it is common to combine the granulovirus with other agents, especially fungicides, in spray application. Therefore the knowledge about the influence of these agents on the efficacy of the virus in tank mix is very ...

The authors complement bovine pan‐SV with massive novel structural variations (SVs) identified through long‐read sequencing of 83 globally distributed cattle breeds. Repetitive sequence‐mediated SVs (rep‐SV) exhibit distinct dynamic patterns throughout cattle sub‐speciation and/or domestication processes, including uneven distribution between chr‐X and
