Cilia‐Mimic Locomotion of Magnetic Colloidal Collectives Enhanced by Low‐Intensity Ultrasound for Thrombolytic Drug Penetration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 7, February 17, 2025.
This study develops an approach to improve the penetration of thrombolytic drugs by the regulating cilia‐mimic locomotion of colloidal collectives under a torque‐force vortex magnetic field with low‐intensity ultrasound irradiation, providing a new insight of therapeutic interventions for vascular thrombus. Abstract Rapid thrombolysis is very important

Photoacoustic Doppler flowmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We report flow measurements based on the photoacoustic Doppler effect. We have performed flow experiments with a suspension of micrometer carbon particles and have detected the photoacoustic Doppler shift at various average flow speeds.

Axillary plexus blockade in microvascular surgery, a steal phenomenon? [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
A case report is presented of an axillary plexus blockade following a second toe-to-hand transfer. After completion of the microvascular anastomoses and restoration of blood flow to the transplanted toe, the axillary plexus blockade was started. Together

The state of the hemomicrocirculation system and predictive capacity of parameters characterizing it in patients with hypertensive nephropathy

open access: yesPatologìâ, 2015
Today the diagnostics of microcirculatory disorders in patients with hypertensive nephropathy (HN) is an extremely important issue. Aim. To evaluate the functional state of hemomicrocirculatory (HMC) system and to analyze predictive capacity of ...

E2F1/CDK5/DRP1 axis mediates microglial mitochondrial division and autophagy in the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2025.
E2F1‐mediated CDK5 activation drives mitochondrial dysfunction in microglia, exacerbating CIRI damage. Mitochondrial fission and impaired mitophagy are key processes influenced by E2F1‐CDK5 signalling in CIRI. Targeting the E2F1‐CDK5‐DRP1 axis offers novel therapeutic strategies for mitigating CIRI‐induced brain injury.

Longitudinal Study of Functional Reinnervation of the Denervated Skin by Collateral Sprouting of Peptidergic Nociceptive Nerves Utilizing Laser Doppler Imaging

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2020
Restitution of cutaneous sensory function is accomplished by neural regenerative processes of distinct mechanisms following peripheral nerve lesions. Although methods available for the study of functional cutaneous nerve regeneration are specific and ...

Time-of-flight resolved light field fluctuations reveal deep human tissue physiology. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Red blood cells (RBCs) transport oxygen to tissues and remove carbon dioxide. Diffuse optical flowmetry (DOF) assesses deep tissue RBC dynamics by measuring coherent fluctuations of multiply scattered near-infrared light intensity.
