Management of dry socket with low-level laser therapy
Clinical Oral Investigations, 2020The aim of this study is to investigate the efficacy of delivering low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in the management of dry socket at University Dental Hospital Sharjah.Forty-five patients with dry socket were divided into two treatment groups. Group I dry socket patients (n = 30) received conventional treatment while group II patients (n = 15) were ...

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy: Laser Therapy and Dry Needling
Current Pain and Headache Reports, 2013The aim of the present review is to discuss two forms of treatment for myofascial pain: laser therapy and dry needling. Although studies have reported the deactivation of myofascial trigger points with these two methods, clinical trials demonstrating their efficacy are scarce.

Sub-20 nm laser ablation for lithographic dry development
Nanotechnology, 2012Pattern collapse of small or high aspect ratio lines during traditional wet development is a major challenge for miniaturization in nanolithography. Here we report on a new dry process which combines high resolution resist exposure with selective laser ablation to achieve high resolution with high aspect ratios.

Comparison of Laser, Dry Needling, and Placebo Laser Treatments in Myofascial Pain Syndrome
Photomedicine and Laser Surgery, 2004Objective: We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of laser therapy in myofascial pain syndrome treatment. Background Data: Myofascial pain syndrome is a disease that is characterized by hypersensitive points called trigger points found in one or more muscles and/or connective tissues.

Laser direct-write using air-drying conductive paste
PICALO 2008: 3rd Pacific International Conference on Laser Materials Processing, Micro, Nano and Ultrafast Fabrication, 2008Laser direct-write was performed using commercially available silver paste to deposit patterns in an additive manner. The paste was a 60 % colloidal paste of 0.4 – 1.0 μm silver particles in a binder that dries under ambient conditions. Transfer was performed using a focused laser spot size of 110 m and a spacer was placed between the paste and ...

Stability of a dry laser imaging system.
Radiologic technology, 1999Laser imagers are the method of choice for creating hard copies of electronic images, such as computed tomograms and computed radiographs. New dry laser imagers use heat processing rather than wet chemical processing. This article describes tests assessing the stability and reproducibility of dry-processed laser images under normal conditions.
