Bifurcation analysis of a semiconductor laser with filtered optical feedback

open access: yes, 2006
We study the dynamics and bifurcations of a semiconductor laser with delayed filtered feedback, where a part of the output of the laser re-enters after spectral filtering.

Geometrical scale-factor stabilization of square cavity ring laser gyroscopes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Large frame ring laser gyros performances are ultimately limited by the instabilities of their geometrical parameters. We present the experimental activity on the GP2 ring laser gyro.

Actively stabilized wavelength-insensitive carrier elimination from an electro-optically modulated laser beam

open access: yes, 2012
We demonstrate a simple and robust technique for removal of the carrier wave from a phase-modulated laser beam, using a noninterferometric method that is insensitive to the modulation frequency and instead exploits the polarization dependence of electro ...

Advancing frequency locking: Modified FPGA-Guided direct modulation spectroscopy for laser stabilization

open access: yes, 2023
<p>In this paper, we propose a cost-effective laser frequency locking scheme based on frequency modulation spectroscopy (FMS) for precision measurements and experiments in various fields.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A Novel Frequency Stabilization Method for External Cavity Diode Lasers Based on PZT Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
The method of frequency stabilization using injection current modulation can cause mode hopping in the laser. It also fails to fully utilize the benefits of PZT modulation for narrowing the laser linewidth.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
