Designing an Automatic Frequency Stabilization System for an External Cavity Diode Laser Using a Data Acquisition Card in the LabVIEW Platform

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The frequency stability of free-running lasers is susceptible to the influence of environmental factors, which cannot meet the long-term frequency stabilization requirements for atom interferometry precision measurements. To obtain a frequency-stabilized

Active laser frequency stabilization using neutral praseodymium (Pr)

open access: yes, 2009
We present a new possibility for the active frequency stabilization of a laser using transitions in neutral praseodymium. Because of its five outer electrons, this element shows a high density of energy levels leading to an extremely line-rich excitation

Two-color stabilization of atomic hydrogen in circularly polarized laser fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Dynamic stabilization of atomic hydrogen against ionization in high-frequency single- and two-color, circularly polarized laser pulses is observed by numerically solving the three-dimensional, time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation.

Red-Pitaya-Based Frequency Stabilization of 1560-nm Fiber Laser to 780-nm Rubidium Atomic Transition via Single-Pass Frequency Doubling

open access: yesPhotonics
The single-step Rydberg excitation of cesium atoms requires a 319 nm ultraviolet laser with a narrow laser linewidth, high frequency stability, and high output power.

Long-Term Absolute Frequency Stabilization of a Hybrid-Integrated InP-Si3N4 Diode Laser

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
Hybrid integrated diode lasers based on combining semiconductor optical amplifiers with low-loss Si$_{3}$N$_{4}$-based feedback circuits enable great laser performance for advanced photonic circuits.

Frequency stabilization of an ultraviolet semiconductor disk laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We report a tunable, narrow-linewidth UV laser based on intracavity second-harmonic generation in a red semiconductor disk laser. Single-frequency operation is demonstrated with a total UV output power of 26 mW. By servo-locking the fundamental frequency

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

A Novel Frequency Stabilization Method for External Cavity Diode Lasers Based on PZT Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
The method of frequency stabilization using injection current modulation can cause mode hopping in the laser. It also fails to fully utilize the benefits of PZT modulation for narrowing the laser linewidth.

Robust, frequency-stable and accurate mid-IR laser spectrometer based on frequency comb metrology of quantum cascade lasers up-converted in orientation-patterned GaAs

open access: yes, 2013
We demonstrate a robust and simple method for measurement, stabilization and tuning of the frequency of cw mid-infrared (MIR) lasers, in particular of quantum cascade lasers.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
