Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Postfilament-Induced Two-Photon Fluorescence of Dyed Liquid Aerosol Enhanced by Structured Femtosecond Laser Pulse

open access: yesAtmosphere
Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy (LIFS) is actively used for remote sensing of atmospheric aerosols and is currently one of the most sensitive and selective techniques for determining small concentrations of substances inside particles. The use of

Measuring atmospheric naphthalene with laser-induced fluorescence [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2004
A new method for measuring gas-phase naphthalene in the atmosphere is based on laser-induced fluorescence at low pressure. The fluorescence spectrum of naphthalene near 308 nm was identified.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Evaluation of Limiting Sensitivity of the One-Color Laser Fragmentation/Laser-Induced Fluorescence Method in Detection of Nitrobenzene and Nitrotoluene Vapors in the Atmosphere

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2019
The paper presents the results of a numerical evaluation of limiting sensitivity of the method for detecting vapors of nitrocompounds in the atmosphere based on one-color laser fragmentation (LF)/laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) of NO fragments via A2 ...

Visualization of the soot formation process in the volatile flame of single coal particle using 10-kHz PAHs-PLIF, LII and LIS

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2021
Soot formation process during coal combustion is one of a key phenomenon to achieve a high-performance furnace. This is because the thermal radiation of soot influences the temperature distribution and the heat transfer process in the furnaces.

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.
