Effect of Dynamic versus Static Low-Level Laser Therapy on Adhesive Capsulitis: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesФізична реабілітація та рекреаційно-оздоровчі технології
Purpose. Adhesive capsulitis significantly impacts quality of life and functional capacity. While low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has shown promise in treatment, the optimal application method remains debated.

Ion Acceleration by Short Chirped Laser Pulses

open access: yes, 2015
Direct laser acceleration of ions by short frequency-chirped laser pulses is investigated theoretically. We demonstrate that intense beams of ions with a kinetic energy broadening of about 1 % can be generated.

The Effects of Pre and Post Exercise Low-Level Laser Therapy on Biochemical Markers of Skeletal Muscle Fatigue in Equines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Our objective was to determine whether administering low-level laser therapy before or after exercise had the greatest effect on biochemical markers of skeletal muscle fatigue in equines such as cortisol and blood lactate.

Comparison between erbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser therapy and sling procedures in the treatment of stress and mixed urinary incontinence

open access: yesWorld journal of urology, 2018
PurposeStress urinary incontinence (SUI) and mixed urinary incontinence (MUI) lead to poor quality of life. In Japan, urinary incontinence is treated with tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) or transobturator tape (TOT) sling procedures, which involves ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
