Sources of the Late Riphean carbonatite magmatism of Northern Transbaikalia: Geochemical and isotope-geochemical data

Geochemistry International, 2011
New major and trace element and Nd-Sr isotope results are reported for the carbonatites of the Veseloe and Pogranichnoe occurrences, Northern Transbaikalia. The carbonatites from both these occurrences are enriched in Sr, Ba, LREE, Th, U, and depleted in Ti, Cr, and V relative to primitive mantle.

Late Riphean age of the Karsakpai massif of alkaline syenites of South Ulutau (Central Kazakhstan)

Doklady Earth Sciences, 2012
The Ulutau massif is located in the western part of Central Kazakhstan and is one of largest Precambrian sialic massif of this region. Geologically, the southern part of the massif is composed of volcanogenic and volcanogenic–sedimentary rocks of acid and rare basic composition metamorphosed under the green schist metamorphism facies.

THE STRATIGRAPHY AND HYDROCARBON POTENTIAL OF THE RIPHEAN‐VENDIAN (MIDDLE‐LATE PROTEROZOIC) SUCCESSION ON THE RUSSIAN PLATFORM

Journal of Petroleum Geology, 1997
Recent studies of the Riphean‐ Venetian succession of the Russian Platform have indicated that geological factors favourable for the occurrence of hydrocarbons may be present. These factors include substantial thicknesses of sedimentary rocks; the presence of reservoir rocks and seals, together with source rocks containing sapropelic organic matter ...

Late Riphean age of conglomerates from the Kholbonur complex of Songino block, Central Asian Caledonides

Stratigraphy and Geological Correlation, 2013
The Early Caledonian folded area of Central Asia comprises a variety of continental crust fragments with Early to Late Precambrian crystalline basement. Crystalline rocks, which form part of the Songino block, outcrop at the junction between the Dzabkhan and Tuva-Mongolian terranes.

Potentially productive late riphean sediments at the basis of the Nepa-Peleduy arch of the Nepa-Botuoba anteclysis in the south of the Siberian platform

Vestnik of North-Eastern Federal University. Series "Earth Sciences", 2021

Late Riphean Borisikha ophiolite (Yenisei Ridge): U-Pb zircon age and tectonic setting

Russian Geology and Geophysics, 2008
Abstract The Borisikha ophiolite, composed of serpentinites and amphibolites, is an extension of the Isakovka ophiolite belt in the near-Yenisei part of the Yenisei Ridge. It is a slightly disturbed ∼3.5 km thick fragment of the ophiolite association; its crustal part is composed of metamorphosed wehrlite, troctolite, and gabbro ...

Late Riphean alkaline magmatism in the western margin of the Siberian Craton: A result of continental rifting or accretionary events?

Doklady Earth Sciences, 2008
Magmatic evolution in the western margin of the Siberian Craton has attracted the attention of many specialists in the context of debatable problems concerning the formation and breakdown of the Meso- and Neoproterozoic Rodinia supercontinent, the evolution of the Paleoasian ocean, and the origin of the Central Asian Foldbelt [1‐3].

High-potassium rocks of the Late Riphean Mara paleovolcano, Biryusinsky ledge, South of the Siberian Platform

Стратиграфия
The research was focused on the Mara–Kamenka–Uvat interfluve of the Biryusinsky ledge of the Siberian Platform, where more than half a century ago, during prospecting works for manganese, the Marа paleovolcano was identified. However, specific volcanogenic-sedimentary rocks were considered as a part of the Karagas sedimentary series of the Late Riphean.

Microbial Mats As a Source of Carbonate Sediments in the Late Precambrian: Evidence from the Linok Formation, the Middle Riphean of the Turukhansk Uplift, Siberia

Lithology and Mineral Resources, 2001
The Linok Formation is made up of clayey and carbonate strata, 180–300 m thick, formed at the terminal Middle Riphean on the northwestern margin of the Siberian Platform. In the modern structure, it is exposed in the lower part of the Turukhansk Uplift section.
