On matching latent to latent fingerprints

2011 International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB), 2011
This research presents a forensics application of matching two latent fingerprints. In crime scene settings, it is often required to match multiple latent fingerprints. Unlike matching latent with inked or live fingerprints, this research problem is very challenging and requires proper analysis and attention.

Latent, Manifest Latent, and Congenital Nystagmus

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1979
Manifest latent nystagmus (MLN) was identified in 31 patients by accurate eye movement records. All the patients had horizontal tropias, and the nystagmus fast phases were always in the direction of viewing eye. The slow phases of MLN are decreasing-velocity exponentials while those of the jerk form of congenital nystagmus (CN) are increasing velocity ...

Latent Activities

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2005
This paper describes a discrete continuous Tobit model of activity participation and duration. The model extends existing models by accounting for multiple activities and the effect of travel time needed for activity participation on time allocation.

Latent Inhibition

Current Protocols in Neuroscience, 2001
AbstractLatent inhibition (LI) refers to the deleterious effects of nonreinforced stimulus preexposure on its subsequent conditioning. LI is considered to index an organism's ability to ignore inconsequential stimuli and as such provides a useful tool to measure attentional processes as well as their disruption and enhancement by various ...

Latent History

Proceedings of the 27th ACM International Conference on Multimedia, 2019
Latent History is a time and space exploration into Stockholm's past and ultimately present, through the deployment of machine learning algorithms trained on datasets from both archival and contemporary photographs. Through the exploration of photographic memories from the past 150 years, this exhibition aims to investigate and re-imagine collective ...
