Objective We aimed to validate the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System (PAUSS) for upper extremity joints in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods Children with JIA were evaluated for elbow, wrist, or finger arthritis by clinical examination (CE) and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) with images scored according to the ...

Sample stream distortion modeled in continuous-flow electrophoresis [PDF]
Buoyancy-induced disturbances in an electrophoresis-type chamber were investigated. Five tracer streams (latex) were used to visualize the flows while a nine-thermistor array sensed the temperature field.

We demonstrate that the flow of a longitudinal spin current with different spin polarization will induce different patterns of charge accumulation in a two-terminal strip, or electric current distribution in a four-terminal Hall-bar structure, of two ...

Objective Cam morphology, which is a significant risk factor for hip osteoarthritis, is commonly quantified by the alpha angle (AA). This study aims to explore the potential of the triangular index ratio (TIR) to quantify cam morphology on anteroposterior radiographs by assessing the association between TIR‐defined cam morphology and the development of

Coinduction in Flow: The Later Modality in Fibrations.
This paper provides a construction on fibrations that gives access to the so-called later modality, which allows for a controlled form of recursion in coinductive proofs and programs. The construction is essentially a generalisation of the topos of trees from the codomain fibration over sets to arbitrary fibrations.

The following protocol describes how to build a half-strip simplified lateral flow sensor. Preparation of test strips, detection reagents immobilization and test development. The purpose of this protocol is testing the proper functioning of the analytical mechanism of a lateral flow assay design. The strips have been simplified for fitting in 96-plate

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for
