Carbon-Coated Superparamagnetic Nanoflowers for Biosensors Based on Lateral Flow Immunoassays

open access: yesBiosensors, 2020
Superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoflowers coated by a black carbon layer (Fe3O4@C) were studied as labels in lateral flow immunoassays. They were synthesized by a one-pot solvothermal route, and they were characterized (size, morphology, chemical ...

Highly Sensitive and Specific Detection of Staphylococcal Enterotoxins SEA, SEG, SEH, and SEI by Immunoassay

open access: yesToxins, 2021
Staphylococcal food poisoning (SFP) is one of the most common foodborne diseases worldwide, resulting from the ingestion of staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs), primarily SE type A (SEA), which is produced in food by enterotoxigenic strains of ...

Lateral Flow Immunoassays for SARS-CoV-2

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2022
The continued circulation of SARS-CoV-2 virus in different parts of the world opens up the possibility for more virulent variants to evolve even as the coronavirus disease 2019 transitions from pandemic to endemic. Highly transmissible and virulent variants may seed new disruptive epidemic waves that can easily put the healthcare system under ...

A multiple lateral flow immunoassay based on AuNP for the detection of 5 chemical contaminants in milk

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 2023
: Melamine (MEL), enrofloxacin (ENR), sulfamethazine (SMZ), tetracycline (TC), and aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) are the main chemical contaminants in milk. It is necessary to detect these miscellaneous chemical contaminants in milk synchronously to ensure the ...

The Steadfast Au@Pt Soldier: Peroxide-Tolerant Nanozyme for Signal Enhancement in Lateral Flow Immunoassay of Peroxidase-Containing Samples [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The approach to inhibit endogenous peroxidases by elevated concentrations of hydrogen peroxide while maintaining the high peroxidase-mimicking activity of Au@Pt nanozymes was developed. The approach facilitates selective and highly-sensitive detection of

Development and Analytical Validation of a Smartphone‐Based Quantitative Lateral Flow Immunoassay for Serum Cystatin‐C [PDF]

open access: yesJ Clin Lab Anal
We developed a gold nanoparticle‐based lateral flow immunoassay that pairs a fixed‐geometry smartphone reader with an Android application for quantitative serum Cystatin‐C measurement. The 15‐min assay covered 0.32–8.00 mg/L with a 0.15 mg/L detection limit and CVs below 10%.
