We formulate the theory of a 2-form gauge field on a Euclidean spacetime lattice. In this approach, the fundamental degrees of freedom live on the faces of the lattice, and the action can be constructed from the sum over Wilson surfaces associated with each fundamental cube of the lattice.

Structural Entanglement from Interaction-Induced Fixed Points [PDF]
We introduce a lattice-theoretic framework for composite information systems in which tensor-like composition and entanglement are defined without presupposing Hilbert spaces or quantum states.

Wavelets and Lattice Field Theory. [PDF]
When continuous fields are expanded in a wavelet basis, a D-dimensional continuum action becomes a (D+1)-dimensional lattice action on the naively discretized Poincare-patch coordinates of an Euclidean AdS(D+1).

Regularization methods for Nuclear Lattice Effective Field Theory
We investigate Nuclear Lattice Effective Field Theory for the two-body system for several lattice spacings at lowest order in the pionless as well as in the pionful theory.

Generalized Probabilities in Statistical Theories
We discuss different formal frameworks for the description of generalized probabilities in statistical theories. We analyze the particular cases of probabilities appearing in classical and quantum mechanics and the approach to generalized probabilities ...

On Machine-Learning Morphological Image Operators
Morphological operators are nonlinear transformations commonly used in image processing. Their theoretical foundation is based on lattice theory, and it is a well-known result that a large class of image operators can be expressed in terms of two basic ...

Threshold Lattice-Based Signature Scheme for Authentication by Wearable Devices
This paper presents a new threshold signature scheme based on Damgaard’s work. The proposed scheme allows for changing the message signature threshold, thereby improving the flexibility of the original Damgaard scheme.

Reliability of Lattice Gauge Theories [PDF]
Currently, there are intense experimental efforts to realize lattice gauge theories in quantum simulators. Except for specific models, however, practical quantum simulators can never be fine-tuned to perfect local gauge invariance. There is thus a strong need for a rigorous understanding of gauge-invariance violation and how to reliably protect against
