EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Cryptanalysis of an RSA variant with moduli N=prql

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2017
In this paper we study an RSA variant with moduli of the form N=pr⁢ql{N=p^{r}q^{l}} (r>l≥2{r>l\geq 2}). This variant was mentioned by Boneh, Durfee and Howgrave-Graham [2]. Later Lim, Kim, Yie and Lee [11] showed that this variant is much faster than the

An Extremal Problem for Finite Lattices

open access: yesTheory and Applications of Graphs, 2016
For a fixed M x N integer lattice L(M,N), we consider the maximum size of a subset A of L(M,N) which contains no squares of prescribed side lengths k(1),...,k(t).

A survey of recent results on congruence lattices of lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We review recent results on congruence lattices of (infinite) lattices. We discuss results obtained with box products, as well as categorical, ring-theoretical, and topological ...

Transversal Lattices [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2008
A flat of a matroid is cyclic if it is a union of circuits; such flats form a lattice under inclusion and, up to isomorphism, all lattices can be obtained this way. A lattice is a Tr-lattice if all matroids whose lattices of cyclic flats are isomorphic to it are transversal. We investigate some sufficient conditions for a lattice to be a Tr-lattice; a

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Enhancing Strength and Electrical Conductivity in Al–Zr–Sc Conductor Alloys Through Sn and Sr Microalloying and Two‐Step Aging Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...

Optical characterization of chiral three-dimensionally periodic photonic crystals fabricated by temporally periodic physical vapor deposition on two-dimensionally periodic substrates

open access: yesJournal of Physics Communications
We fabricated chiral three-dimensionally (3D) periodic photonic crystals (PPCs) with nanoscale features by: first etching two different two-dimensionally (2D) periodic patterns in fused silica and silicon substrates, and then implementing temporally ...

A New Constant-Size Group Signature Scheme From Lattices

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A lattice-based group signature scheme (LGSS) is an active cryptographic primitive, where each group member can sign messages anonymously in the name of the entire group and each valid signature should be traced to some group member on the lattice.
