Layer-by-Layer Assembled Multilayer Films of Nitrogen-doped Graphene and Polyethylenimine for Selective Sensing of Dopamine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
A novel sensor was developed based on the electrostatic layer-by-layer (LBL) self-assembly technique on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with nitrogen-doped graphene (NG) and polyethylenimine (PEI).

Layer-by-Layer Assembly of Microgel Colloidal Crystals via Photoinitiated Alkyne–Azide Click Reaction

open access: yes, 2019
Layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly of colloidal crystals (CCs) allows for the fine control of the thickness and architecture of the resulting crystals. Various methods have been developed for the LBL assembly of CCs of hard spheres. However, these methods are

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Layer‐By‐Layer Approach to Improve the Capacitance of Conducting Polymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
In the pursuit of energy storage devices offering high power density, rapid charge and discharge rates, a layer‐by‐layer deposition approach is shown to improve the capacitive properties of conducting polymer‐based devices.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Tuneable Permeability to H2, CO2, He, and Ar in Graphene Oxide−PDDA Self‐Assembled Multilayers, Yielding Good Selectivity at High Flux

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces
Today, the most effective and suitable method to obtain molecular H2 is the extraction from mixtures where it is present, using gas‐sieving membranes.

Layer-by-layer assembly of multilayer optical lattices: Application to displaced dice lattice

open access: yes, 2020
We propose methods for synthesizing multilayer optical lattices of cold atoms in a layer-by-layer manner, to unlock the potential of optical lattices in simulating the fascinating physics of multilayer systems.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Layer-by-Layer AB-Stacked Bilayer Graphene Growth Through an Asymmetric Oxygen Gateway

open access: yes, 2019
Compared with the semimetallic single layer graphene (SLG), large-sized bilayer graphene with a desired stacking order is extremely useful in the twilight of two-dimensional electronics era.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
