3D evaluation of the lamina cribrosa with swept-source optical coherence tomography in normal tension glaucoma. [PDF]
PURPOSE:Although the lamina cribrosa (LC) is the primary site of axonal damage in glaucoma, adequate methods to image and measure it are currently lacking.

Line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography, a novel non‐invasive tool for the diagnosis of onychomycosis [PDF]
Background and objectives Onychomycosis is common and important to distinguish from other nail diseases. Rapid and accurate diagnosis is necessary for optimal patient treatment and outcome.

Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

Objectives Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is a cornerstone therapy in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), yet the weight‐based dosing does not account for clinical factors that can introduce individual variability in drug metabolism and clearance. We leveraged longitudinal data from a prospective SLE cohort to: 1) identify clinical factors that predict ...

Line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT) is an imaging technique that combines the principles of time-domain OCT and reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM). LC-OCT was designed to generate threedimensional (3D) morphological images of the skin, in vivo, with a spatial resolution of ∼ 1 µm.

Objective To evaluate how modifiable psychosocial factors and fatigue relate to physical functioning in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods In this cross‐sectional study of two demographically distinct cohorts [Approaches to Positive, Patient‐centered Experiences of Aging with Lupus (APPEAL) and California Lupus Epidemiology Study

We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

Wound closure is governed by geometry‐orientation coupling: aligned fibers speed migration along their axis but hinder perpendicular advance. In vivo diabetic wound experiments with composition‐matched fibrin, combined with an anisotropic diffusion (biased random‐walk) model, quantify this trade‐off and generate a healing landscape.

Line-field confocal optical coherence tomography: is one hour of training sufficient for diagnosing basal cell carcinoma? [PDF]
Background/Objectives: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common malignancy, characterised by local invasiveness and the potential for tissue destruction. Diagnosing BCC can be challenging, particularly for less experienced dermatologists. Line-field
