LD50 Demo Kit - Danger Adult Solid
Glass jar from an LD50 Demo Kit that contains salt to represent a dry formulated pesticide. This jar visually represents an oral LD50 of 50mg/kg for a 160 lb adult, which would have a signal word of Danger/Peligro. This LD50 toxicity level is categorized

Target‐site based imidazolinone resistance in brome grass was found to be conferred by a mutation at position 574 in the ALS gene and to severely impact the efficacy of the herbicide Intervix®, a co‐formulation of imazamox and imazapyr. Abstract BACKGROUND Brome grass (Bromus diandrus) is a prevalent weed in southern Australian cropping regions which ...

LD50 Demo Kit - Caution Adult/Child Liquid
Glass jars from an LD50 Demo Kit that contains red dyed vegetable oil to represent a liquid formulated pesticide. These jars visually represents an oral LD50 of 5000mg/kg for a 160 lb adult (left) and a 55 lb child (right), which would have a signal word

In the present study, relationship between knockdown and mortality of insecticides was examined against the adult female housefly, Musca domestica. Type‐I pyrethroid insecticides showed a weak linkage, as early knocked down flies did not always result in mortality, while type‐II pyrethroids and organophosphates exhibited strong correlation between the ...

Biological Parameters and the Acute LD50 Test
Abstract The acute LD50 is an inadequate index of toxicity because the catastrophe of death obscures the mechanisms and sites of action. Thus, nonlethal toxicity is not evaluated, and the LD50 is not extrapolated to the possible effects of low level exposures for long periods of time.

Ashwagandha: Is It Safe? Part 2: A Preclinical Evidence Review
ABSTRACT The preclinical evidence for the safety of ashwagandha (Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal, AS) is reviewed, and its preparations (extracts) and constituents, from the general toxicity in animal models to in vitro and cell culture studies, which may elucidate mechanisms of action and explain clinical case reports.

Synergistic Effects of IMP-1700, Ciprofloxacin, and X-Ray Radiation in Bacteria and Mammalian Cell Lines: Implications for Use in Antimicrobial-Resistant Bacteria. [PDF]
IMP‐1700 enhances the cytotoxic effect on bacteria in combination with either ciprofloxacin (CPX) or X‐ray. In noncancerous and tumor cells, combination treatments markedly reduce viability with radiosensitizing effects. Further studies are needed to clarify the mechanism underlying IMP‐1700s effects on mammalian cells. Created in BioRender. Kjaer, A. (
