Secret Key Extraction Using Stable Channel Impulse Response in OFDM Wireless Networks

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The process of converting a complex impulse response (CIR) highest peak into a binary sequence is called ‘quantisation’. By quantising the CIR highest peaks, Alice and Bob will generate the secret key bit sequences KA and KB, respectively. The number of CIR highest peaks is infinite, and these highest peaks can be easily selected from the set of CIRs ...

Construction of regular quasi-cyclic protograph LDPC codes based on Vandermonde matrices

open access: yes, 2008
In this contribution, we investigate the attainable performance of quasi-cyclic (QC) protograph Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes for transmission over both Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and uncorrelated Rayleigh channels.

Low-rate coding using incremental redundancy for GLDPC codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we propose a low-rate coding method, suited for application-layer forward error correction. Depending on channel conditions, the coding scheme we propose can switch from a fixed-rate LDPC code to various low-rate GLDPC codes.

LDPC Error Floor Improvement [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2012
The error-correcting performance of low-density parity check (LDPC) codes, when decoded using practical iterative decoding algorithms, is known to be close to Shannon limits.

Performance Analysis of the LDPC‐Coded Hybrid LQAM‐MPPM for UWOC Systems

open access: yesIET Optoelectronics, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The effectiveness of LDPC codes in improving the performance of hybrid modulations is discussed, with coded 128‐QAM‐(12, 2) MPPM offering ~6.5 and 5.8 dB code gains at a BER of in strong and moderate turbulence, respectively. These results demonstrate the promise of hybrid modulation with LDPC as a robust and efficient modulation scheme for UWOC ...

LDPC Codes in Communications and Broadcasting [PDF]

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Communications, 2007
SUMMARY Low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes are one of the most powerful error correcting codes and are attracting much attention these days. LDPC codes are promising for communications and broadcasting as well where the use of error correcting codes are essential.

Scene‐Driven Semantic Alignment for Generative Communication in Underwater Images

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Underwater images serve as one of the most intuitive media for human perception of underwater environments. However, the limited bandwidth and susceptibility to noise in underwater acoustic (UWA) channels pose significant challenges for traditional image encoding and transmission methods, thereby hindering high‐quality image reconstruction.

A Decoding Algorithm for LDPC Codes Over Erasure Channels with Sporadic Errors

open access: yes, 2010
An efficient decoding algorithm for low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes on erasure channels with sporadic errors (i.e., binary error-and-erasure channels with error probability much smaller than the erasure probability) is proposed and its performance ...

The decoding schemes of LDPC-codes. The efficiency ratings, advantages and further developments of LDPC-codes

open access: yesБезопасность информационных технологий, 2010
This article concerns the problems of information decoding, using LDPC-code and describes different decoding schemes. It is also described that LDPC codes are selected as the DVB-S2 standard over 7 other turbo code based candidates because of its more ...

Novel construction of quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check codes with variable code rates for cloud data storage systems

open access: yesETRI Journal, 2023
This paper proposed a novel method for constructing quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) codes of medium to high code rates that can be applied in cloud data storage systems, requiring better error correction capabilities.
