Iterative decoding of SOVA and LDPC product code for bit-patterned media recoding

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The demand for high-density storage systems has increased due to the exponential growth of data. Bit-patterned media recording (BPMR) is one of the promising technologies to achieve the density of 1Tbit/in2 and higher.

A construction of the high-rate regular quasi-cyclic LDPC codes

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2019
In this paper, a scheme to construct the high-rate regular quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) codes is developed based on the finite geometry low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes.

On LDPC codes for Gaussian interference channels [PDF]

open access: yes2014 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2014
In this paper, we focus on the two-user Gaussian interference channel (GIC), and study the Han-Kobayashi (HK) coding/decoding strategy with the objective of designing low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. A code optimization algorithm is proposed which adopts a random perturbation technique via tracking the average mutual information.

Dynamic Continuous Variable Quantum Key Distribution for Securing a Future Global Quantum Network

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 10, October 2025.
The article explores securing a dynamic global quantum network using continuous variable QKD, proposing a unified three‐layer network architecture for integrating existing QKD networks. It evaluates secret key rates across various channels and introduces the link capacity as a metric for determining the optimum path for secret key distribution in a ...

Hardware Acceleration of Beamforming in a UWB Imaging Unit for Breast Cancer Detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Ultrawideband (UWB) imaging technique for breast cancer detection is based on the fact that cancerous cells have different dielectric characteristics than healthy tissues. When a UWB pulse in the microwave range strikes a cancerous region, the ...

Novel construction of QC-LDPC codes with modified 2-D GRS codes

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2015
The construction method for QC-LDPC (quasi-cyclic low density parity-check) code with modified two-dimensional generalized reed-solomon (2-D GRS) code is proposed using the generator polynomial of GRS code,so thus the constructed code can have better ...
