A Real‐Time Multi‐Scale Neural Representation for Complex Surface Reflectance
Abstract Recent machine learning methods have significantly advanced the state of the art in the classic problem of representing surface appearance over angle, space, and scale. The models tend, however, to be relatively heavy compared to traditional fixed‐function representations, making real‐time application challenging.

Large Deployable Reflector (LDR) system concept and technology definition study. Analysis of space station requirements for LDR [PDF]
A study was conducted to determine how the Large Deployable Reflector (LDR) might benefit from the use of the space station for assembly, checkout, deployment, servicing, refurbishment, and technology development.

Step2Motion: Locomotion Reconstruction from Pressure Sensing Insoles
Abstract Human motion is fundamentally driven by continuous physical interaction with the environment. Whether walking, running, or simply standing, the forces exchanged between our feet and the ground provide crucial insights for understanding and reconstructing human movement. Recent advances in wearable insole devices offer a compelling solution for

Comparison of modeled and observed cloud-free longwave downward radiation over the Alps
Differences between computed and observed cloud-free longwave downward radiation (LDR) were examined both for Payerne and six further radiation sites of the Alpine Surface Radiation Budget (ASRB) network.

Studies of low-mass star formation with the large deployable reflector [PDF]
Estimates are made of the far-infrared and submillimeter continuum and line emission from regions of low mass star formation. The intensity of this emission is compared with the sensitivity of the large deployable reflector (LDR), a large space telescope

The effective temperature, one of the most fundamental atmospheric parameters of a star, can be estimated using various methods, and here we focus on the method using line-depth ratios (LDRs). This method combines low- and high-excitation lines and makes

The raphe nuclear organization and serotonergic system in the bat (Artibeus planirostris)
Schematic representation of the methodological workflow used to characterize the serotonergic (5‐HT) system in the bat Artibeus planirostris. Serotonin (5‐HT) immunohistochemistry was performed on brainstem sections to identify and map the distribution of serotonergic neurons within the raphe nuclei.

Large Deployable Reflector (LDR) system concept and technology definition study. Volume 2: Technology assessment and technology development plan [PDF]
A study was conducted to define reasonable and representative LDR system concepts for the purpose of defining a technology development program aimed at providing the requisite technological capability necessary to start LDR development by the end of 1991.

Mosquitoes in Eastern Ontario, Canada, readily fed on bloodmeal hosts consistent with patterns observed in other regions of North America. Enzootic and bridge vector mosquitoes fed on amplification hosts like American Robins (Turdus migratorius) together with humans, highlighting a potential route for WNV and EEEV transmission to human populations. Our
