Sonochemical preparation of net-lead zirconate titanate (PZT)
Journal of Crystal Growth, 2004Abstract Perovskite lead zirconate titanate (PZT) microstalline phase with a net (porous) morphology was obtained by the sonochemical method. The gel was prepared by using ultrasonic irradiation on lead acetate (Pb(OOCCH 3 ) 2 ·3H 2 O), zirconium nitrate (Zr(NO 3 ) 4 ) and tetrabutyl titanate (Ti(Obu- n ) 4 ) as the precursors. Phase evolution of the

Measurement of Young's Moduli for Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) Ceramics
Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 2000Abstract Knowledge of the Young's moduli is necessary for piezoelectric ceramics in order to separate the total deformation into an elastic and a plastic contribution. The methods for the determination of the Young's moduli, well known from conventional ceramics, are much more complicated due to the special electrical boundary conditions.

Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) for M/NEMS
2017This section concentrates on the leading ferroelectric material used in thin-film piezoelectric MEMS: lead zirconate titanate (PbZr x Ti1−xO3) or PZT. PZT-based MEMS technology has been explored extensively for a variety of actuator applications [1] but has received less attention for RF MEMS resonator and filter applications.

An Ultrasound Transducer by Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) Nanofibers
Volume 7: 5th International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems; 8th International Conference on Design and Design Education; 21st Reliability, Stress Analysis, and Failure Prevention Conference, 2011In this paper, we demonstrate Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) nanofibers as a transducer to generate and detect ultrasound acoustic waves. PZT nanofibers with average diameter of 102nm were fabricated by the electrospinning method. The as-fabricated nanofibers were collected and aligned across a 10 μm silicon trench with Au electrodes.

Two solid solutions of lead zirconium titanates PbZr x Ti1 − x O3 (x = 0.1 and 0.35) as well as the reference compounds lead titanate and lead zirconate were prepared from zirconium and titanium n-propoxide, dissolved in 2-methoxyethanol, by sol-gel process.

Growth and characterization of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) thin films
Optics and Precision Engineering, 2013This paper explores how to prepare the Pb(Zrx Ti1-x)O3(PZT)thin films by using the solgel method on a silicon substrate, then it tests the film characteristics by different methods. The solution with different compositions and proportions is designed according to the molecular formulas, and then the solution is coated on Titanium(Ti)or Platinum/Titanium ...

Breakdown in lead zirconate titanate (PZT) thin film capacitors
Proceedings of 1994 IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics, 2002Lifetime of PZT capacitors was defined and evaluated by measuring critical number of cycles where electrical degradation (increase of leakage current) begins to dominate polarization during fatigue tests. It was observed that external failure (electrode burst) occurs during fatigue before electrical degradation at high voltage and/or temperature.

Enthalpies of Formation of Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) Solid Solutions
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 2001The formation energetics and heats of mixing of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) PbZrxTi1−xO3 solid solutions have been investigated using high-temperature oxide melt solution calorimetry. While the heat content (H973−H298) is almost constant (80–82 kJ/mol) for x=0.15–1.0, its value for PbTiO3 (x=0.0) is larger (86.15±0.55 kJ/mol). Linear variation in the

Electromechanical properties of silicone-PZT (lead-zirconate-titanate) composite
SPIE Proceedings, 2010Dielectric elastomer composites are widely used electromechanical actuators. Compounding of dielectric elastomers with electroceramics helps to decrease the required electric field. In this work, silicone rubber was compounded with Lead- Zirconate-Titanate (PZT) electroceramic powder by the help of a silane coupling agent for better compatibility ...

Raman analysis of microcircuits with lead zirconate titanate (PZT) films
Proceedings, annual meeting, Electron Microscopy Society of America, 1992Certain compositions and structural forms of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) materials have potential applications in microelectronics because of their ferroelectric properties. One such application is in the development of new types of non-volatile memories. PZT films are integrated into microcircuit components using sol-gel deposition techniques.
