Microstructure of Solution‐Processed Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) Thin Films

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1991
Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) thin films with a composition near the morphotropic phase boundary (Zr/Ti = 53/47) were fabricated by spin deposition of an alkoxide‐derived solution and annealed at 650°C for 30 min. A complex microstructure is observed in which micrometer‐scale rosettes of the desired perovskite phase are surrounded ...

Ionic and electronic conductivity in lead–zirconate–titanate (PZT)

Solid State Ionics, 2004
Accurate impedance measurements on differently sized samples of lead–zirconate–titanate (PbZr0.53Ti0.47O3, PZT) have been analyzed with a CNLS procedure, resulting in the separation of the ionic and electronic conductivities over a temperature range from f150 to 630 jC.

Ferroelectric devices using lead zirconate titanate (PZT) nanoparticles

Nanotechnology, 2016
We successfully demonstrate the synthesis of lead zirconate titanate nanoparticles (PZT NPs) and a ferroelectric device using the synthesized PZT NPs. The crystalline structure and the size of the nanocrystals are studied using x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy, respectively. We observe

R-curves of lead zirconate titanate (PZT)

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2003
Abstract R -curves were measured for ferroelectric ceramic lead zirconate titanate (PZT) using surface cracks in flexure (SCF) in a single composition of unpoled, ferroelastic PZT. The effects of several parameters on the R -curves were experimentally determined.

R-curves in lead zirconate titanate (PZT)

ISAF 2000. Proceedings of the 2000 12th IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics (IEEE Cat. No.00CH37076), 2002
R-curves were measured using a surface crack in flexure for an unpoled, ferroelastic composition of PZT. Grain size, polishing away the residual stress zone created by the indentation, and thermal depoling did not have a significant effect on the R-curve behavior. A larger initial flaw size resulted in a lower R-curve plateau value.

Low Voltage Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) and Lead Niobate Zirconate Titanate (PNZT) Hysteresis Loops

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1997
A major emerging market for ferroelectric non-volatile memories is the RF tag. In that application, low power and low voltage memory operation is essential. Historically, the lead zirconate titanate (PZT) family has not been noted for low voltage hysteresis loops but this is a function of process and not a property of the material.

Hydrothermal synthesis of acicular lead zirconate titanate (PZT)

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2001
Abstract The hydrothermal synthesis of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) powder with acicular morphology using organic mineralizer, tetramethylammonium hydroxide pentahydrate (TMAH), has been investigated. The TMAH concentration and reaction time have a pronounced effect on the phase composition and morphology of the resultant powders.

Sonochemical preparation of net-lead zirconate titanate (PZT)

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2004
Abstract Perovskite lead zirconate titanate (PZT) microstalline phase with a net (porous) morphology was obtained by the sonochemical method. The gel was prepared by using ultrasonic irradiation on lead acetate (Pb(OOCCH 3 ) 2 ·3H 2 O), zirconium nitrate (Zr(NO 3 ) 4 ) and tetrabutyl titanate (Ti(Obu- n ) 4 ) as the precursors. Phase evolution of the
