Population Variability of the Species Polygonum aviculare [PDF]

open access: yesPesticidi i Fitomedicina, 2006
As Polygonum aviculare L. is characterized by exceptional polymorphism, 10 populations of this species were subjected to relevant morpho-anatomical investigation for a more detailed taxonomic determination.

High-resolution time series of leaf length and leaf thickness of strawberry and tomato measured in a growth chamber

open access: yes, 2020
This dataset captures leaf thickness and leaf length of two strawberry plants and one tomato seeding. Leaf thickness measurements are only available of the strawberry plants. Additional data included light intensity data, soil water content (of one plant)

Seamless Mechanical Programming Through Hybrid Epoxy–Acrylate Printing for Soft–Rigid Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hybrid epoxy‐acrylate printing enables seamless fabrication of soft–rigid robotic systems with covalently integrated interfaces and functionally graded mechanics. Grayscale exposure expands the accessible material space, enabling spatially programmed actuation through patterned stiffness while revealing the mechanics and durability of continuously ...

Non-destructive estimation of maize leaf area, fresh weight, and dry weight using leaf length and leaf width [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Leaf area and leaf weight measurements are required to calculate several growth indices, which are leaf area index (LAI), net assimilation rate (NAR), specific leaf area (SLA), specific leaf weight (SLW), and leaf area duration (LAD).

Accelerated Materials Discovery Through In Situ X‐ray Diffraction: Solvothermal Formation of PdxMy (M═Si, Ge, Sn, Pb) Intermetallic Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In situ PXRD data on solvothermal reactions accelerate materials discovery while simultaneously providing fundamental insights into complex crystal formation processes. Using PdxMy (M = Si, Ge, Sn, Pb) as an example, a general formation mechanism is identified, and specific synthesis strategies for ex situ preparation of SnPd2, Sn13Pd20, and SnPd ...

1T‐to‐2H Phase Evolution During Epitaxial Growth of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
During MOCVD growth of MoS2 and WSe2, a transient metallic 1T phase emerges in early, edge‐rich, chalcogen‐deficient domains and declines as the films ultimately coalesce as 2H material. Together, experiments and ReaxFF simulations link domain size, edge stoichiometry, and vacancies to this evolution.

Robust Spin Splitting and Fermiology in the Layered Altermagnet CoNb4${\rm CoNb}_4$Se8${\rm Se}_8$

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The emergence of an altermagnetic phase is demonstrated in the cobalt‐intercalated superconducting 2H‐NbSe2 polymorph. A combined theoretical and experimental approach directly probes the magnetism, the altermagnetic lifting of Kramers degeneracy, and the electronic phase space, establishing CoNb4Se8 as the first g‐wave altermagnetic layered material ...
