From energy provision to protein synthesis: Tunnelling nanotubes as mediators of intercellular metabolic cooperation in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Water Network-Failure Data Assessment

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
The water-supply system is one of the basic and most important critical infrastructures. Water supply service disruption (water quality or quantity) may have serious consequences in modern societies.

Regulated Ion‐Diffusion Hydrogels for Subtle and Multimodal Temperature‐Strain Sensing in Wound Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Exploiting Intermediate Value Leakage in Dilithium: A Template-Based Approach

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems, 2023
This paper presents a new profiling side-channel attack on CRYSTALSDilithium, the new NIST primary standard for quantum-safe digital signatures. An open source implementation of CRYSTALS-Dilithium is already available, with constant-time property as a ...

Leakage Resilience of the Duplex Construction

open access: yes, 2019
Side-channel attacks, especially differential power analysis (DPA), pose a serious threat to cryptographic implementations deployed in a malicious environment. One way to counter side-channel attacks is to design cryptographic schemes to withstand them, an area that is covered amongst others by leakage resilient cryptography.

Compositional Synthesis of Leakage Resilient Programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A promising approach to defend against side channel attacks is to build programs that are leakage resilient, in a formal sense. One such formal notion of leakage resilience is the n-threshold-probing model proposed in the seminal work by Ishai et al. In a recent work, Eldib and Wang have proposed a method for automatically synthesizing programs that ...
