Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Dynamic Interfacial Chemistry of Choline Chloride as Electrolyte Additive for Stable Zn‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Choline chloride (ChCl) additive enables dynamic interface engineering in Zn‐I2 batteries by forming hydrophobic polyiodide complexes and a Zn‐stabilizing Ch+‐rich layer under electric field modulation. This dual‐function strategy suppresses iodine hydrolysis and dendrite formation, while optimizing Zn2+ solvation and transport for high‐efficiency ...

Interference Effect of Shock Wave on Tip Leakage Vortex in a Transonic Variable Nozzle Turbine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Turbomachinery, Propulsion and Power
The tip leakage flow at both sides of the nozzle vane is an important factor for the reduction in turbine aerothermal performance. A strong shock wave is generated at the trailing edge of the nozzle vane under transonic condition, which can interfere ...

PREDICTION OF LEAKAGE FLOW AND ROTORDYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS FOR AN ECCENTRIC LABYRINTH GAS SEAL [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2017
Labyrinth seals are key elements to limit leakage flow between rotating and stationary parts of turbo machines. However, these seals can modify the rotordynamic stability of machines.

Enhancement of Dielectric Breakdown Strength and Recoverable Energy Density in Three‐Dimensional Heterointerfaces on BaTiO3–PbZrO3–PbTiO3 Films via Room‐Temperature Nano‐Clustering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A room‐temperature aerosol deposition process yields multiphase nano‐clustered dielectric capacitors containing discrete BaTiO3, PbZrO3, and PbTiO3 crystals. This architecture creates three‐dimensional heterointerfaces that induce interfacial charge trapping and effectively inhibit breakdown propagation.
