Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

A Fully On-Disk Updatable Learned Index
While in-memory learned indexes have shown promising performance as compared to B+-tree, most widely used databases in real applications still rely on disk-based operations.

Conventional database indexes are ephemeral because they manage data at the current time. On the other hand, many applications require the maintenance of old data versions.

LISA: A Learned Index Structure for Spatial Data
In spatial query processing, the popular index R-tree may incur large storage consumption and high IO cost. Inspired by the recent learned index [17] that replaces B-tree with machine learning models, we study an analogy problem for spatial data.

A systematic review of deep learning applications in database query execution
Modern database management systems (DBMS), primarily designed as general-purpose systems, face the challenging task of efficiently handling data from diverse sources for both analytical services and online transactional processing (OLTP).

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
