ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Age stratified disability adjusted life year burden from infectious diseases in four African countries for equity oriented health planning

open access: yesDiscover Public Health
Introduction : Infectious diseases disproportionately burden sub-Saharan Africa, contributing 61.5% of global disability-adjusted life years in 2021. Age-stratified analyses are critical for equitable health planning but remain many a time underexplored.

Research on sub-pixel positioning and detection accuracy of optical interference fringes in methane detectors

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
The precision of fringe location in optical interferometric methane detectors and environmental factors are important factors affecting the accuracy and stability of methane concentration detection.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

From least squares to least deviations

open access: yes, 2010
La régression linéaire est un domaine important en pratique qui est, en général, associée aux moindres carrés. Mais on sait depuis longtemps que si les erreurs ne sont pas vraiment gaussiennes et peuvent inclure des valeurs aberrantes il est préférable

Urban-Rural Surface Temperature Deviation and Intra-Urban Variations Contained by an Urban Growth Boundary

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
The urban heat island (UHI) concept describes heat trapping that elevates urban temperatures relative to rural temperatures, at least in temperate/humid regions. In drylands, urban irrigation can instead produce an urban cool island (UCI) effect. However,

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Logarithmic Derivatives of Least Deviation from Zero

open access: yes, 2014
We study least deviation of logarithmic derivatives of real-valued polynomials with a fixed root from zero on the segment $[-1;1]$ in the uniform norm with the weight $\sqrt{1-x^2}$ and without it. Basing on results of Komarov and Novak and on a certain determinant identity due to Borchardt, we also establish a criterion for best uniform approximation ...
