Two sided markets, competitive bottlenecks and exclusive contracts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We provide a framework for analyzing two-sided markets that allows for different degrees of product differentiation on each side of the market. When platforms are viewed as homogenous by sellers but heterogeneous by buyers, we show that “competitive ...

When Can Limited Randomness Be Used in Repeated Games?

open access: yes, 2015
The central result of classical game theory states that every finite normal form game has a Nash equilibrium, provided that players are allowed to use randomized (mixed) strategies.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Robustness in sparse linear models: relative efficiency based on robust approximate message passing

open access: yes, 2015
Understanding efficiency in high dimensional linear models is a longstanding problem of interest. Classical work with smaller dimensional problems dating back to Huber and Bickel has illustrated the benefits of efficient loss functions.

Regularization for Cox's proportional hazards model with NP-dimensionality

open access: yes, 2012
High throughput genetic sequencing arrays with thousands of measurements per sample and a great amount of related censored clinical data have increased demanding need for better measurement specific model selection.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Application of standard keratometry values obtained from keratotopographic mapping data to calculate the optical power of a multifocal intraocular lens

open access: yesРоссийский офтальмологический журнал
Purpose of the study is to determine the zones of standard keratometry according to keratotopography data, which will allow for more accurate calculation of multifocal IOL using 10 formulas.Material and methods.

The tale of two centres

open access: yes, 1996
We study motion in the field of two fixed centres described by a family of Einstein-dilaton-Maxwell theories. Transitions between regular and chaotic motion are observed as the dilaton coupling is varied.Comment: 20 pages, RevTeX, 7 figures included, TeX

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

Differentiating adolescents with severe internalizing symptoms using a brief computerized cognitive task: a LASSO regression approach

open access: yesBMC Psychiatry
Background Adolescent depression and anxiety are major global public health concerns; however, current diagnostic approaches rely primarily on subjective self‑report and lack objective cognitive metrics.
