Metabolomic and proteomic stratification of equine osteoarthritis

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Equine osteoarthritis (OA) is predominantly diagnosed through clinical examination and radiography, leading to detection only after significant joint pathology. The pathogenesis of OA remains unclear and while many medications modify the disease's inflammatory components, no curative or reversal treatments exist.

Associations of serum carotenoids with cardiovascular disease mortality among patients with metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
In metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease/metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis patients aged <60 years, high serum β‐cryptoxanthin concentrations were inversely associated with CVD mortality. Abstract Aim High cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality occurred among metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease ...

Recovery and protection of photo‐damaged hairs with keratin‐encapsulated cationic liposomes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Homogeneous and highly stable cationic liposomes encapsulated with keratin were fabricated using the high‐pressure homogenization method, which could improve the adherence of keratin on the hair cuticle and its penetration into hair fibres, thereby effectively enhancing the recovery of photo‐damaged hair.

Reversed-phase partition thin-layer chromatography of rat liver lecithins to yield eight simple phosphatidyl cholines

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1967
The four fractions obtained by argentation thin-layer chromatography of intact rat liver lecithins can be further subdivided by reversed-phase partition thin-layer chromatography on hydrophobic kieselguhr.
