Taxonomic reappraisal of the mangrove genus Avicennia (Acanthaceae) in India
Nordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 8, August 2026.A taxonomic reappraisal of the mangrove genus Avicennia in India was undertaken through extensive field surveys and critical examination of herbarium specimens. Three taxa, Avicennia alba, Avicennia marina subsp. marina, and Avicennia officinalis, are described in detail. A synonymic list was compiled using the World Checklist of Vascular Plants (WCVP)

Lectotypifications in the Genus Petrea (Verbenaceae)
Novon, 1993 Twenty-one specific epithets in Petrea need lectotypification. Of these, 17 holotypes were not originally designated, two types were destroyed during World War II, and two are missing. As a result of an ongoing study toward a monograph of the genus Petrea, a number of specific epithets have been found to need lectotypification.
