On the botanical history and nomenclature of the New World genus Piscidia (Fabaceae)
Piscidia L. (Fabaceae) is a New World genus with nine recognized taxa (seven species and two varieties). The previous nomenclatural revisions, made in 1910 and in 1969, are revisited here. The names Derris grandifolia Heyde & Lux ex Donn.Sm. and P. cubensis Urb. required step II lectotypifications, with an epitype for the latter name.

Typification of the Linnaean name Gratiola peruviana (Plantaginaceae)
Abstract The typification of the Linnaean name Gratiola peruviana is discussed. The only original material available is an illustration by Feuillée cited by Linnaeus in the protologue. This illustration is designated as the lectotype for the name G. peruviana.

A re-examination of the genus Amphibolia (Mesembryanthemaceae)
The holotypes of all five species placed in the genus Amphibolia L. Bol. ex Toelken & Jessop have been examined. Only two of them agree with the generic diagnosis, but they are not congeneric.

Henry Trimen: Under‐appreciated pioneer in the typification of Linnaean plant names?
Abstract In 1887, Henry Trimen published a paper summarising the contents of the Hermann Herbarium, in what is now the Natural History Museum, London (BM), in terms of the plant names published by Linnaeus. Trimen referred to the Hermann specimens as types of Linnaeus's names.

Revisiting the typification of Lippia riedeliana (Verbenaceae)
Abstract The present study revisits the previously selected lectotype for Lippia riedeliana, which was designated in a proposal to reject this name. According to our reinterpretation, this typification was based on non‐original material and, therefore, must be superseded. The holotype is at LE, and this specimen must be cited accordingly.
