Percutaneous left atrial appendage occlusion: New perspectives for the method [PDF]
Ischemic stroke is a common complication of atrial fibrillation (AF). Currently, oral anticoagulant drugs are the most commonly used method of stroke prevention. Left atrial appendage occlusion is thought to be the main source of thrombi in patients with

Integrated multi‐omic profiling maps the gene‐regulatory landscape of the coelomic mesothelium across heart, lung, and pancreas. A cardiac‐restricted regulatory program is uncovered in which TBX20 activates heart mesothelial (epicardial) cis‐regulatory elements, while MAF emerges as a conserved regulator of mesothelial identity.

Left Atrial Appendage Closure –The WATCHMAN Device [PDF]
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common arrhythmias seen in clinical cardiology practice. Patients with non-valvular AF have an approximately 5-fold increase in the risk of stroke, with an exponential increase with advancing age. Cardioembolic strokes carry a high mortality risk.

G3BP1 Succinylation at K413 is Critical for Cardiac Function by Modulating PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR Signal Axis
Schematic illustrating the impact of G3BP1 succinylation at K413 on cardiac function. In the healthy human heart, G3BP1 succinylation maintains homeostatic mTOR signaling. In patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and heart failure (HF), G3BP1 de‐succinylation induces RagA expression and disrupts the binding of the TSC1/2 complex, leading to the ...

Discovering Interpretable Semantics from Radio Signals for Contactless Cardiac Monitoring
This study presents a semantic representation framework for clinically interpretable cardiac monitoring from contactless radio signals. It formulates radio semantic learning as an information‐bottleneck problem and approximates the objective via intra‐modal compression and cross‐modal alignment, structuring radio measurements into meaningful semantic ...

Two-year clinical outcome from the Iberian registry patients after left atrial appendage closure [PDF]
AIMS: The aim of this study was to observe the percentage of thromboembolic and haemorrhagic events over a 2-year follow-up in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) undergoing closure of the left atrial appendage (LAA) with an occlusion ...

An instance‐level, model‐agnostic explanation of class differentiation is introduced through SHAP‐LCD, linking probability shifts to feature‐wise Shapley contributions. The method operates on tabular and image data and is released in a fully reproducible implementation, offering a transparent way to examine, at each instance, why predictive models ...

Minitoracotomia axilar direita horizontal: opção estética e eficaz para correção de comunicação interventricular e interatrial em lactentes e crianças [PDF]
Introduction:Congenital heart defects treatment shows progressive reduction in morbidity and mortality, however, the scar, resulting from ventricular (VSD) and atrial septal defect (ASD) repair, may cause discomfort.
