Occurrence, Risk Factors, and Prognosis of Acute Cerebral Microinfarcts in CADASIL
ABSTRACT Introduction Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL) is the most common monogenic cerebral small vessel disease in adults. This study investigates the occurrence, risk factors, and prognosis of acute cerebral microinfarcts (ACMIs) in patients with CADASIL.

More Knowledge is Better: Cross-Modality Volume Completion and 3D+2D Segmentation for Intracardiac Echocardiography Contouring [PDF]
Using catheter ablation to treat atrial fibrillation increasingly relies on intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) for an anatomical delineation of the left atrium and the pulmonary veins that enter the atrium. However, it is a challenge to build an automatic contouring algorithm because ICE is noisy and provides only a limited 2D view of the 3D anatomy ...

Cor triatriatum sinister with situs inversus totalis in an infant. [PDF]
Cor triatriatum sinister is a rare congenital cardiac malformation characterized by a membrane in the left atrium which separates the left atrium into the proximal and distal chambers.Association of cor triatriatum is extremely rare with situs inversus

Deep Learning from Dual-Energy Information for Whole-Heart Segmentation in Dual-Energy and Single-Energy Non-Contrast-Enhanced Cardiac CT [PDF]
Deep learning-based whole-heart segmentation in coronary CT angiography (CCTA) allows the extraction of quantitative imaging measures for cardiovascular risk prediction. Automatic extraction of these measures in patients undergoing only non-contrast-enhanced CT (NCCT) scanning would be valuable.

The molecular genetics of RASopathies: An update on novel disease genes and new disorders
Abstract Enhanced signaling through RAS and the mitogen‐associated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade underlies the RASopathies, a family of clinically related disorders affecting development and growth. In RASopathies, increased RAS‐MAPK signaling can result from the upregulated activity of various RAS GTPases, enhanced function of proteins positively ...
