Doppler echocardiographic assessment of left ventricular diastolic function in chronic hypoxic rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Little information is available on the mechanism of diastolic left ventricular (LV) dysfunction in patients with chronic respiratory disease complicated by hypoxia.

A Novel Protein NAB1‐356 Encoded by circRNA circNAB1 Mitigates Atrial Fibrillation by Reducing Inflammation and Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The circRNA circNAB1 is downregulated in AF patient. Silencing circNAB1 promotes collagen deposition and inflammation, whereas overexpression reduces AF susceptibility. circNAB1 encodes the protein NAB1 356 that interacts with EGR1 to mitigate fibrosis and inflammation.

Left Ventricle Diastolic Function in Patients Underwent Chemotherapy with Doxorubicin

open access: yesMajalah Kardiologi Indonesia, 2013
Background. Doxorubicin is one of the first-line chemoterapy against many form of neoplasm but the use is hampered by its cardiotoxic poten-tial with the end result of congestive heart failure.

Current clinical applications of spectral tissue Doppler echocardiography (E/E' ratio) as a noninvasive surrogate for left ventricular diastolic pressures in the diagnosis of heart failure with preserved left ventricular systolic function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Congestive heart failure with preserved left ventricular systolic function has emerged as a growing epidemic medical syndrome in developed countries, which is characterized by high morbidity and mortality rates.

Application of Fractional Derivatives in Characterization of ECG graphs of Right Ventricular Hypertrophy Patients [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
There are many functions which are continuous everywhere but non-differentiable at some or all points such functions are termed as unreachable functions. Graphs representing such unreachable functions are called unreachable graphs. For example, ECG is such an unreachable graph.

Implantable Self‐Powered Systems for Electrical Stimulation Medical Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this paper, the design strategy and clinical application of ISS are discussed in depth from four aspects: the design and optimization of the energy collection module, the selection and preparation of adaptive electrode materials, the innovation of system design strategy, and the biological effect of electrical stimulation of ISS.

Impact of Bariatric Surgery on Left Ventricular Structure and Function

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease
Background Obesity leads to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease morbidity and death, including heart failure. Bariatric surgery has been proven to be the most effective long‐term weight management treatment. This study investigated the changes in

Microneedles at the Forefront of Next Generation Theranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The TOC figure illustrates the revolutionary role of microneedles in modern medicine, showcasing their dual diagnostic and therapeutic functions. On the left, microneedles access interstitial fluid for real‐time monitoring of biomarkers like glucose and hormones.

The architecture of the left ventricular myocytes relative to left ventricular systolic function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Objective: Mural thickening, combined with longitudinal and circumferential shortening, and apical along with basal twisting are critical components of the left ventricular systolic deformation that contribute to ventricular ejection.
