Combined Effect of Lentinan and Cisplatin on Cytokines IL-6, TNF-α, and TGF-β in Tumor Therapy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Science, 2019
Lentinan is a biologically active ingredient isolated from the fruiting body of Lentinula edodes (shiitake) and has antitumor properties. Cytokines, at the same time, are a key factor in regulating immune responses in physiological and pathological ...

The effect of lentinan on the resistance of mice to Mesocestoides corti

open access: yesParasitology Research, 1988
CBA/H mice were given the immunomodulator lentinan in multiple, ascending doses before (prophylactic) or after (therapeutic) inoculation with tetrathyridia of Mesocestoides corti or as a single prophylactic dose. The latter was without effect, but increasing multiple prophylactic and therapeutic doses of lentinan resulted in a marked reduction in the ...

[Effect of lentinan for advanced prostate carcinoma]. [PDF]

open access: yesHinyokika kiyo. Acta urologica Japonica, 1994
A prospective, randomized multi-center study was conducted to assess the clinical effectiveness of Lentinan, an immunomodulatory agent, in the metastatic prostate cancer. Of seventy-five patients enrolled from July 1987 to June 1992, 69 were eligible. All patients received hormonal therapy and chemotherapy using Tegafur p.o. at a dose of 400-800 mg/day.
