Efficiency and Stability of Transarterial Chemoembolization Combined With or Without Lenvatinib for Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yes
Background/Aims: At present, there are relatively few reports on the treatment consisting of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with lenvatinib, and there is no unified conclusion on the curative effect. The objective of this research was to

Prolonged duration of response in lenvatinib responders with thyroid cancer

open access: yes, 2018
We present an updated analysis of lenvatinib in radioiodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer (RR-DTC) with new duration of response (DOR) data unavailable for the primary analysis. In this randomized, double-blind, multicenter, placebo-controlled

The FGF/FGFR System in the Biology and Therapeutic Landscape of Pediatric CNS Tumors

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Central nervous system (CNS) tumors are the most common solid malignancies in children, comprising a highly heterogeneous group of neoplasms defined by distinct molecular alterations and clinical behaviors. Advances in molecular genetics have underscored the relevance of specific signaling pathways in driving pediatric tumorigenesis, among ...

Integrative characterization of human hepatocellular carcinoma‐derived organoids and their HBV‐associated biology [PDF]

open access: yesClin Transl Med
20 HCC‐derived organoids, three adjacent non‐tumour tissue‐derived organoids, and 12 HCC‐derived cell lines from 20 patients were established and biobanked. Integrative analyses combining drug screening, whole‐exome sequencing, and RNA sequencing revealed molecular subtypes and identified candidate determinants of lenvatinib response.

The impact of lenvatinib on sarcopenia in patients with advanced unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesScientific Reports
Lenvatinib is a multiple receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) approved for first-line treatment of patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). TKI are suspected of exacerbating muscle loss in patients with cancer.

Differential FGFR1 copy number status displays unique tumour immune microenvironment in triple‐negative breast cancer

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, EarlyView.
Abstract Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) amplification, a significant cancer alteration with both prognostic and therapeutic relevance, lacks a standardized definition. The relationship between FGFR1 copy number (CN) variations and tumour microenvironment (TME) characteristics also remains poorly understood.

PPM1G‒MET axis sustains AKT signaling to drive Twist‐associated EMT and drug resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is frequently resistant to targeted therapies. We identify protein phosphatase Mg2+/Mn2+‐dependent 1G (PPM1G) as a key phosphatase that stabilizes mesenchymal‐epithelial transition factor (MET) by inhibiting its ubiquitination, thereby sustaining protein kinase B (AKT) signaling and promoting Twist‐mediated epithelial ...

LINC00892 inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma progression through SBDS/EIF6‐mediated ribosomal stress and interacting with the immune microenvironment

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
LINC00892 is lowly expressed in HCC. LINC00892 overexpression induces ribosomal stress via inhibiting SBDS, restrains EIF6 nuclear translocation and activates p53 pathway. LINC00892 overexpression and p53 activation jointly suppress HCC progression. High LINC00892 is associted with infiltration of CD8+ T cells, B cells and macrophages, and associated ...

A Spotlight on Yolk‐sac Tumors: Molecular Pathology, Current Diagnostics, and Novel Therapeutics

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Yolk‐sac tumors are an aggressive subtype of testicular cancer that significantly contribute to disease progression and therapy resistance, especially in adults. While testicular cancer generally has high cure rates with cisplatin‐based treatment, adult yolk‐sac tumors often appear as components of mixed tumors with poor response to
