Hovedmålet med denne studien var å teste om kopepoditter av lakselus (Lepeophtheirus salmonis) som har vært festet på pukkellaks (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) kan smitte og etablere seg på atlantisk laks (Salmo salar) eller om de er døde eller svekket av pukkellaksens vertsrespons, og av den grunn ikke vil kunne smitte atlantisk laks.
