Lepiota cremea, a novel species of Lepiota sect. Lepiota (Agaricaceae s.l., Agaricales) from Turkey

Phytotaxa, 2022
A new species of Lepiota from Turkey, Lepiota cremea sp. nov., is proposed based on morphological characters and phylogenetic analyses of the nuclear rDNA internal transcribed spacer (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 = ITS) region. The morphological features together with molecular data confirmed both the novelty of this species and its infrageneric placement within ...

Lepiota(Agaricales) in Northern Thailand-2LepiotaSectionLepiota

Cryptogamie, Mycologie, 2012
Abstract In this report, we investigate the presence of Lepiota species in section Lepiota in Northern Thailand (Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai). Five Lepiota species are characterised by distinct fusiform-amygdaliform spores. Of these, three species, namely L. eurysperma, L. microcarpa, and L. pongduadensis, are proposed as new species; L. metulispora is a

Lepiota cholistanensis a new species of Lepiota (Agaricaceae: Basidiomycota) from Cholistan desert, Pakistan

Phytotaxa, 2020
Lepiota cholistanensis was collected from an unusual locality of Cholistan desert, an unexplored area of Pakistan. This species is characterized by having small basidiomata provided with slightly uplifted brown squamules on pileus surface. Stipe color changes to brown on handling or bruising.

Lepiota elseae (Agaricales, Agaricaceae), a new species of section Lepiota from Spain

Phytotaxa, 2015
A new species, Lepiota elseae, is described from Mediterranean areas in Spain in association with Quercus ilex, based on both morphological and molecular characters (analysis of the ITS-rDNA sequences). Illustrations of fresh basidiomata in situ and of the main macro- and micromorphological features are provided. L.

Characterization and partial purification of the toxin of Lepiota morganii

Toxicon, 1974
Abstract The toxin of L. morganii is present throughout the mushroom, but most concentrated in the cap tissue. It is heat labile, losing all detectable activity in 30 min at 70°. The toxin is proteinaceous, with an approximate molecular weight in excess of 400,000 Daltons and composed of sub-units of approximately 40,000–60,000 Daltons. Attempts to
