Amazon Basin (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana). Only single locality in Venezuela: Río Cuyuni, km 69 on road to Santa Elena de Uairén, Bolivar State.
