Lorlatinib‐Containing Therapy for MYCN‐Amplified, ALK‐Mutated Neuroblastoma With Bulky Leptomeningeal Relapse: A Case Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Central nervous system (CNS) relapse of neuroblastoma carries a poor prognosis, and craniospinal irradiation (CSI) poses substantial long‐term toxicity in young children. We report a toddler with MYCN‐amplified neuroblastoma harboring somatic ALK R1275Q who developed extensive leptomeningeal relapse with paraplegia.

Leptomeningeal Seeding of Pituitary Adenoma in a Young Lady With Neglected Gigantism: An Extremely Rare Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports
Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors can sometimes present with leptomeningeal seeding at their initial diagnosis, emphasizing the need for thorough evaluation in cases of leptomeningeal involvement.

Diffuse Leptomeningeal Glioneuronal Tumor with FGFR1 Mutation in a 29-Year-Old Male

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Society of Radiology, 2023
This study reports on diffuse leptomeningeal glioneuronal tumor (DL-GNT) in a 29- year-old male. DLGNT is a rare central nervous system (CNS) tumor mostly seen in children and only few cases have been reported in adult patients.

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

Cerebrospinal Fluid Drop Metastases of Canine Glioma: Magnetic Resonance Imaging Classification

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2021
Dissemination of glioma in humans can occur as leptomeningeal nodules, diffuse leptomeningeal lesions, or ependymal lesions. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drop metastasis of glioma is not well-recognized in dogs.

Leptomeningeal collaterals are associated with modifiable metabolic risk factors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We seek to identify potentially modifiable determinants associated with variability in leptomeningeal collateral status in patients with acute ischemic ...

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Leptomeningeal metastases in pineoblastoma [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ Case Reports, 2015
Pineoblastoma is one of the pineal parenchymal tumours, which are rare tumours and account for approximately 15% of all tumours found in the pineal region.1 They are malignant tumours that infiltrate the adjacent structures by direct invasion and tend to spread through cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) circulation.2 MRI helps in depicting the local ...
