Dual‐Responsive Dynamic Covalent Bond‐Based Assembly of Lipid‐Nanozyme Systems via Multi‐Target Synergy and Efficient Target Enrichment for Ischemic Stroke Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This system adopts a biomimetic phospholipid structure, covalently binding iNOS inhibitors, neuroprotective agent PCA and vitamin E derivatives through pH/ROS dual‐responsive bonds, and assembles them with Prussian blue nanozyme to form PBB@AHA. It can efficiently penetrate the blood‐brain barrier and simultaneously release multiple active components ...

Tenecteplase versus Alteplase for Stroke Thrombolysis Evaluation Trial in the Ambulance (Mobile Stroke Unit—TASTE-A): protocol for a prospective randomised, open-label, blinded endpoint, phase II superiority trial of tenecteplase versus alteplase for ischaemic stroke patients presenting within 4.5 hours of symptom onset to the mobile stroke unit

open access: yesBMJ Open, 2022
Introduction Mobile stroke units (MSUs) equipped with a CT scanner are increasingly being used to assess and treat stroke patients’ prehospital with thrombolysis and transfer them to the most appropriate hospital for ongoing stroke care and thrombectomy ...

Selective Inhibition of Integrin β3 Topology Provides a Safer Antithrombotic Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current integrin αIIbβ3 inhibitors effectively reduce thrombosis but also increase bleeding risk. During thrombosis, high shear blood flow can directly activate the integrin αIIbβ3 via a distinct topological change in the β3 transmembrane domain, independent of hemostatic platelet signaling.

Absolute Cerebral Blood Flow Infarction Threshold for 3-Hour Ischemia Time Determined with CT Perfusion and 18F-FFMZ-PET Imaging in a Porcine Model of Cerebral Ischemia. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
CT Perfusion (CTP) derived cerebral blood flow (CBF) thresholds have been proposed as the optimal parameter for distinguishing the infarct core prior to reperfusion.

Epithelial TRIM27 Inhibits Intestinal Inflammation in Ulcerative Colitis by the USP7/TRIM27‐IKK Double Negative‐Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif 27 (TRIM27) is a negative regulator of NF‐κB activation and the innate immune response, and TRIM27 deficiency significantly impairs dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)‐induced colitis. The function of TRIM27 in intestinal epithelial cells (IECs), the mechanism by which TRIM27 inhibits the NF‐κB pathway and its

Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Nanozymes for Advanced Hemoglobin‐Based Oxygen Carriers: Applications in Blood Substitution, Wound Healing, Antitumor Therapy, and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explores how hemoglobin‐based oxygen carriers (HBOCs) combined with nanozymes create multifunctional materials that deliver oxygen while maintaining redox homeostasis. Beyond artificial blood substitutes, these constructs enable wound healing with light‐triggered oxygen release, cancer therapy through enhanced oxygenation and reactive ...
