Application of cyclic voltammetric technique on dye concentration control in aqueous solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
This communication follows a previous work concerning indirect electrochemical reduction of dyes [1] and its application on dyeing control with sulphur dyes. The study concerns the cathodic peak intensity variation with sulphur dye C.I.

Color Development and Tribo-charging Characteristics of Leuco Dyes

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Colour Material, 2004
The color development and tribo-charging characteristics of the leuco dyes were investigated. Seven types of leuco dyes were dissolved into a styrene-acryl copolymer solution to prepare a dye-solution. When a prescribed amount of the t-butyl salicylate-Zn complex (SZC) was added to the dye-solution the solution developed color. The maximum absorbance A

Analysis of the Degradation of Thermochromic Sensors in Electrical Devices

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 9, March 5, 2026.
This study examines the degradation of microencapsulated leuco thermochromic pigments, both pure and embedded in epoxy, under thermal, cyclic, and QUV aging. UV radiation is the main factor causing irreversible loss of thermochromism due to microcapsule damage and solvent loss, while thermal exposure produces minor effects.

Eco‐Friendly Schiff Base Cellulosic Adsorbent for Selective Removal of Cationic Dyes from Petroleum Wastewater: Synthesis, Characterization, and Application

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 5, 4 March 2026.
The porous HMC selectively captures cationic dyes (MB and MG) from contaminated water, transforming dark, dye‐laden effluent into clean water. ABSTRACT Our investigation explores the exclusion of two health‐risk cationic dyes (e.g., Methylene Blue (MB) and Malachite Green (MG)) using a novel hydrazone‐modified cellulose (HMC) adsorbent synthesized via ...

DNA sensing by electrocatalysis with hemoglobin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Electrocatalysis offers a means of electrochemical signal amplification, yet in DNA-based sensors, electrocatalysis has required high-density DNA films and strict assembly and passivation conditions.

The Synthesis of Azaperylene-9,10-dicarboximides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The syntheses of two azaperylene 9,10-dicarboximides are presented. 1-Aza- and 1,6-diazaperylene 9,10-dicarboximides containing a 2,6-diisopropylphenyl substituent at the N-imide position were synthesized in two steps starting from naphthalene and ...

Holographic Photopolymerizable Glass: Enhancing Exposure Sensitivity by Tailoring Photoinitiating Systems Based on BODIPY Dyes

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
The holographic recording performance of the photopolymerizable hybrid sol–gel is enhanced by optimizing photoinitiating systems based on boron dipyrromethene dyes. Two‐ and three‐component type‐II photoinitiating systems are employed, and their photopolymerization efficiency is evaluated through holographic patterning at 532 nm.

Nitroxide‐Mediated Fluorescence Quenching: Synthesis and Applications for the Detection of ROS in Biological Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Profluorescent nitroxides (PFNs) have established themselves as powerful tools for monitoring oxidative processes and subcellular redox dynamics by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Their characteristic “off–on” behavior arises from the efficient, proximity‐driven quenching of covalently bound fluorophores by paramagnetic nitroxide radicals ...
