The holographic recording performance of the photopolymerizable hybrid sol–gel is enhanced by optimizing photoinitiating systems based on boron dipyrromethene dyes. Two‐ and three‐component type‐II photoinitiating systems are employed, and their photopolymerization efficiency is evaluated through holographic patterning at 532 nm.

AbstractConventional textile dyeing by vat and sulfur dyes includes reduction and re‐oxidation steps (with chemical reductants and oxidants), so that the insoluble dyes can be solubilized in the dyeing solution, adsorbed by the fabric, and fixed onto the dyed fabric.

ABSTRACT Profluorescent nitroxides (PFNs) have established themselves as powerful tools for monitoring oxidative processes and subcellular redox dynamics by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Their characteristic “off–on” behavior arises from the efficient, proximity‐driven quenching of covalently bound fluorophores by paramagnetic nitroxide radicals ...

Direct Electrochemical Reduction of Indigo
Increasing ecoefficiency of textile wet processes has become an important topic in our research group. Reducing agents required for the application of vat and sulfur dyes cannot be recycled, and they lead to problematic waste products. Therefore,

Multifunctional gelatin films synergizing thermochromic encryption, self‐regulating photothermal management, and closed‐loop recyclability offer sustainable solutions for intelligent packaging. ABSTRACT Multifunctional gelatin‐based smart films are engineered by incorporating hyperbranched polyglycerol (HBPG) as a plasticizer, dialdehyde β‐cyclodextrin

The small geometry of nano/micro sensor devices, down to 3 × 3 µm2, makes them ideal for reliable large‐scale integration into sensor arrays for single‐use biomedical, industrial, and security applications. These devices allow for the efficient conversion of ultraviolet to terahertz radiation into electrical or optical output signals using simple ...

Photo-imaging system containing leuco dyes and haloganated polymers.
Transparent halopolymer film such as poly(vinyl chloride) containing leuco dye formed color image by UV irradiation. Combinations of six kinds of polymers and five kinds of leuco dyes were investigated as photo coloring systems. A stable coloration of the leuco dye can be obtained if halopolymer is used as a matrix film.

The plasticisation model of dye diffusion: Part 4
Abstract Previously published data reported for the temperature dependency of the diffusion of an organic acid within PA 6 film, as well as the desorption of three acid dyes from dyed nylon 66 fabric, diffusion of an acid dye within nylon 6 film and the adsorption of a sulphur dye onto nylon 66 fabric, over a diverse range of application/washing/dyeing

Dye-sensitized Solar Cells Based on Fluoran Leuco Sensitizers
The utilization of a fluoran leuco sensitizer, 2-anilino-6-dibutyl amino-3-methylfluoran (ODB-2), for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) was investigated through the examination of the adsorption of ODB-2 molecules onto the surfaces of porous titanium dioxide (titania, TiO2) films and the photovoltaic properties of ODB-2-based DSSCs.
