Detection of bovine leukemia virus in pasteurized milk from a number of industrial milk factories in Iran by Nested Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)

open access: yesĀsīb/shināsī-i Darmāngāhī-i Dāmpizishkī
Bovine leukemia virus (BLV) as the causative agent of enzootic bovine leukosis (EBL) is a retrovirus which is closely related to type 1 and 2 leukemia virus of human T cells and it is also considered as a possible cause of breast cancer in women.

Bovine leukemia virus discovered in human blood

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2019
Background Bovine leukemia virus (BLV) infection is widespread in cattle globally and is present in marketed beef and dairy products. Human infection with BLV has been reported in breast and lung cancer tissues and was significantly associated with ...

Feiwei Heji Enhances Antitumor Immunity by MLL4‐Dependent Regulation of Pyroptosis in Lung Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Feiwei Heji suppresses lung tumor growth by downregulating MLL4 and activating caspase‐1/GSDMD‐associated pyroptosis. This pyroptosis‐related inflammatory response enhances CD8+ T‐cell‐mediated antitumor immunity, revealing an MLL4‐pyroptosis‐immune axis underlying the therapeutic activity of Feiwei Heji.

Monocytes Derived From Human Pluripotent Stem Cells Engineered for Detection of Pyrogens

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
In summary, we have developed a monocyte‐based reporter system using hESC‐Mono for interrogating the NF‐κB signalling axis, a central pathway governing pyrogenic responses. Our platform enables rapid and dose‐dependent detection of both endotoxins (LPS) and non‐endotoxins (LTA and Zymosan).

Lactate‐Primed NETosis Modulates Hepatic Regeneration During Acute Liver Failure via the TLR9/KLF15/AJUBA Axis

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
This study elucidates a novel Kupffer cell‐neutrophil‐hepatocyte axis that drives metabolic‐immune crosstalk during acute liver failure. Specifically, lactate‐primed NETs release links metabolic reprogramming to NETosis‐induced regenerative failure in hepatocytes via the TLR9/KLF15/AJUBA axis.

Understanding extracellular vesicle biology, isolation, and characterization: The theory of EV‐erything

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Extracellular vesicles (EVs), especially exosomes, are nanoparticles increasingly recognized as key regulators of intercellular communication in both physiological and pathological aspects. Despite rapid progress, inconsistencies in nomenclature, isolation, and characterization continue to restrict translational advancement.

PCR-screening of clinical blood samples the presence of BLV-, BIV-, BFV-infected animals in the farms of the eastern region of Ukraine

open access: yesAgricultural Science and Practice, 2017
Retrovirus infections of cattle, including leukemia, are widespread in the whole world. In Ukraine, leukemia has been investigated for over 40 years, whereas minor retroviruses of cattle have not been studied yet. Aim.

Generation of Allogeneic CAR‐T Circumvents Functional Deficits in Patient‐Derived Autologous Product for Glioblastoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 6, Page 1521-1534, 15 September 2026.
Clinical trials of chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapies in glioblastoma have shown limited clinical benefits. Whether this may be explained by the basal quality of CAR‐T products, which are currently generated using patient, autologous T‐cells, has been little explored.
