Identification of genes differentially expressed in Jining Grey and Liaoning Cashmere goats ovaries [PDF]
To search for genes controlling high prolificacy of Chinese indigenous goats, differential display reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (DDRT-PCR) was used to screen differentially expressed cDNA bands in the sexually matured ovaries of 3-year-

Expression analysis of proteasome maturation protein (POMP) gene in Liaoning Cashmere goat
Liaoning Cashmere goat is a precious genetic resource of China. To explore the relationship between POMP and cashmere growth, we analyzed the expression of POMP. POMP encodes a hudrophilic protein which is most closely related to bos. RT-PCR showed that POMP was expressed in skin, heart, liver, spleen, lung, and kidney tissues.

Genomic analysis of the origins of extant casein variation in goats [PDF]
The variation in the casein genes has a major impact on the milk composition of goats. Even though many casein polymorphisms have been identified so far, we do not know yet whether they are evolutionarily ancient (i.e., they existed before domestication)

This study was designed to identify the relationship of four genes (GDF9, BMPR-IB, FecB and ESR) polymorphisms in the 3'UTR region with litter size and cashmere performance of Liaoning cashmere goats (LCG, n = 1140). The ESR C463T and T575G loci of LCG were genotyped.

Differential expression ofMC1Rgene in Liaoning Cashmere goats with different coat colors
Melanocyte stimulating hormone receptor (MC1R) has been known as a regulator of eumelanin and phaeomelanin production in the melanocytes, and MC1R mutations causing coat color changes are known in many vertebrates; however, there are no research reports about the differentially expression of MC1R gene and its coding protein in Cashmere goats with ...

Molecular characterization of caprineKRTAP13-3in Liaoning cashmere goat in China [PDF]
Keratin-associated proteins are a main structural component of hair and wool fibers and may have effects on their characteristics. There are four KAP13 gene members that have been reported in humans, and the KAP13-3 gene has been identified in sheep and cattle, but it has not yet been identified in goats.

Comparative and temporal transcriptome analysis of peste des petits ruminants virus infected goat peripheral blood mononuclear cells [PDF]
Peste des petits ruminanats virus (PPRV), a morbillivirus causes an acute, highly contagious disease – peste des petits ruminants (PPR), affecting goats and sheep. Sungri/96 vaccine strain is widely used for mass vaccination programs in India against PPR

Gene Expression and Localization of LAMTOR3 in the Skin Cells of Liaoning Cashmere Goats
Liaoning cashmere goats are the most precious genetic resources in China. The function of LAMTOR3 [late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and mammalian target of rapamycin activator 3/MAPK scaffold protein 1] gene is expressed in the skin of Liaoning cashmere goats.

Identification of novel variants for KAP 1.1, KAP 8.1 and KAP 13.3 in South African goats [PDF]
The yield and quality of animal fibres such as mohair, cashmere and cashgora are primarily influenced by the expression of various keratin associated protein genes, such as KAP 1.1, KAP 8.1, and KAP 13.3. Recent developments in molecular genetics provide
