Co-Authorship Networks in the Digital Library Research Community [PDF]
The field of digital libraries (DLs) coalesced in 1994: the first digital library conferences were held that year, awareness of the World Wide Web was accelerating, and the National Science Foundation awarded $24 Million (U.S.) for the Digital Library Initiative (DLI).

Germline variants in CDKN2A wild‐type melanoma prone families
Among melanoma‐prone families, wild‐type for CDKN2A and CDK4, some have pathogenic variants in genes not usually linked to melanoma. Furthermore, rare XP‐related variants and variants in MC1R are enriched in such families. Germline pathogenic variants in CDKN2A are well established as an underlying cause of familial malignant melanoma. While pathogenic

A Variational Beam Model for Failure of Cellular and Truss‐Based Architected Materials
Herein, a versatile and efficient beam modeling framework is developed to predict the nonlinear response and failure of cellular, truss‐based, and woven architected materials. It enables the exploration of their design space and the optimization of their mechanical behavior in the nonlinear regime. A variational formulation of a beam model is presented

Computing with Classical Real Numbers [PDF]
There are two incompatible Coq libraries that have a theory of the real numbers; the Coq standard library gives an axiomatic treatment of classical real numbers, while the CoRN library from Nijmegen defines constructively valid real numbers. Unfortunately, this means results about one structure cannot easily be used in the other structure. We present a

Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

A New Framework for software Library Investment Metrics [PDF]
Software quality is considered as one of the most important challenges in software engineering. It has many dimensions which differ from users' point of view that depend on their requirements. Therefore, those dimensions lead to difficulty in measuring and defining the software quality properly.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

The main objective of this paper is to explore the changes in library education in the context of the emergence of both information science and knowledge management. This paper is based on the review of scientific literature published in books, journals, websites, and other secondary sources and on the authors own viewpoints.
