‘Language of lies’: Urgent issues and prospects in verbal lie detection research

open access: yesLegal and Criminological Psychology, 2019
Since its introduction into the field of deception detection, the verbal channel has become a rapidly growing area of research. The basic assumption is that liars differ from truth tellers in their verbal behaviour, making it possible to classify them by

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Talenti comparison results and rigidity results for anisotropic p-Laplacian operator with Robin boundary conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies
In this paper, we first establish the Talenti comparison principle for anisotropic p-Laplacian equation with Robin boundary conditions. This achievement not only extends classical Talenti comparison result for Laplacian equation with Robin boundary ...

Fantazmaty „Polaka” czyli przemyślenia z obszarów egzystencjalnej filozofii religii

open access: yesAnaliza i Egzystencja, 2023

Lie monads and dualities

open access: yes, 2013
We study dualities between Lie algebras and Lie coalgebras, and their respective (co)representations. To allow a study of dualities in an infinite-dimensional setting, we introduce the notions of Lie monads and Lie comonads, as special cases of YB-Lie ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

The false life of modern society and its connection with social imitation

open access: yesИнтеллект. Инновации. Инвестиции, 2021
The relevance of the problem under study is determined by the wide spread of social imitative realities that cause the emergence of false content in modern socio-cultural reality.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Lie Calculus

open access: yes, 2017
We explain that general differential calculus and Lie theory have a common foundation: Lie Calculus is differential calculus, seen from the point of view of Lie theory, by making use of the groupoid concept as link between them.
