Derivation towers of Lie algebras
For each natural number n there exist finite dimensional centerless Lie algebras, L, whose derivation towers L ◁ Der(L) ◁ Der(Der(L)) ◁ … do not stabilize in less than n ...

The Decomposition of Lie Derivations
A linear mapping \(D\colon A\to E\) from an algebra \(A\) into an \(A\)-bimodule \(E\) is called a Lie derivation if \(D([a,b])=[a,D(b)]+[D(a),b]\) for all elements \(a,b\in A\). Every derivation \(d\colon A\to E\) is a Lie derivation, and so is every centre-valued trace \(\tau\); the latter is a linear mapping \(\tau\colon A\to E\) which takes its ...

Jordan Derivations and Lie Derivations on Path Algebras [PDF]
Without the faithful assumption, we prove that every Jordan derivation on a class of path algebras of quivers without oriented cycles is a derivation and that every Lie derivation on such kinds of algebras is of the standard form.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Lie triple derivation of the Lie algebra of strictly upper triangular matrix over a commutative ring
Let N(n,R) be the nilpotent Lie algebra consisting of all strictly upper triangular n×n matrices over a 2-torsionfree commutative ring R with identity 1.

( U,R) STRONGLY DERIVATION PAIRS ON LIE IDEALS IN RINGS [PDF]
Let R be an associative ring , U be a nonzero Lie ideal of R. In this paper , we will present the definition of (U,R) strongly derivation pair (d,g) , then we will get d=0 (resp.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Finite-Dimensional Simple Lie Algebras with a Nonsingular Derivation
We consider the known finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras of characteristic p > 3 and determine all finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 7 admitting a nonsingular derivation. We also show that

Irreducible Lie–Yamaguti algebras [PDF]
Lie–Yamaguti algebras (or generalized Lie triple systems) are binary–ternary algebras intimately related to reductive homogeneous spaces. The Lie–Yamaguti algebras which are irreducible as modules over their Lie inner derivation algebra are the algebraic

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
