Navigating new norms: a systematic review of factors for the development of effective digital tools in higher education

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
What factors make for an effective digital learning tool in Higher Education? This systematic review identifies elements of a digital tool that published examples reveal to be features of an engaging and impactful digital tool. A systematic literature search yielded 25 research papers for analysis.

Lie Derivations on Generalized Matrix Algebras by Local Actions

open access: yesAxioms
Let G=G(A,B,M,N) be a generalized matrix algebra. A linear map Δ:G→G is called a Lie derivation at E∈G if Δ([U,V])=[Δ(U),V]+[U,Δ(V)] for all pairs U,V∈G such that UV=E.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

Characterization of Nonlinear Mixed Bi-Skew Lie Triple Derivations on ∗-Algebras

open access: yesMathematics
This paper concentrates on examining the characterization of nonlinear mixed bi-skew Lie triple ∗- derivations within an ∗-algebra denoted by A which contains a nontrivial projection with a unit I.

Derivations satisfying certain algebraic identities on Lie ideals [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Moravica, 2019
Let d be a derivation of a semiprime ring R and L a nonzero Lie ideal of R. In this note, it is proved that every noncentral square-closed Lie ideal of R contains a nonzero ideal of R. Further, we use this result to characterize the conditions: d(xy) = d(

3-Lie Superalgebras Induced by Lie Superalgebras

open access: yesAxioms, 2019
We show that given a Lie superalgebra and an element of its dual space, one can construct the 3-Lie superalgebra. We apply this approach to Lie superalgebra of ( m , n ) -block matrices taking a supertrace of a matrix as the element of dual space.

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

SNUPN‐Related Muscular Dystrophy: Novel Phenotypic, Pathological and Functional Protein Insights

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SNUPN‐related muscular dystrophy or LGMDR29 is a new entity that covers from a congenital or childhood onset pure muscular dystrophy to more complex phenotypes combining neurodevelopmental features, cataracts, or spinocerebellar ataxia. So far, 12 different variants have been described.
